The gift of a thousand pieces

Started last year (!) and finished today: one thousand moments of joy putting together my 'broken' Christmas prezzie. It's a lovely nostalgic shop-window of a mid-20th-century electrical store. Wonderfully absorbing without being tediously difficult. Just how I like 'em!

When I photographed it, I was pleased how the light hit the centre, showing the puzzle's shapely pattern - particularly pleased that it hit right between two lamps in the jigsaw picture, so it looks as if they are the source of light creating the dazzle.

It's been a beautifully sunny day. More washing on the line today. But it's grown colder as the afternoon wore on and is really quite nippy now, but with a lovely clear sky looking its star-spangled best.
