Duthie Park

A family trip to Aberdeen to round off the holidays.

On the way we had lunch at a farm shop then admired the view of Dunottar Castle. We were too late to go in today, and given the sub-zero temperatures we were quite glad to get back in the car.

Next we went to Duthie Park, and CyclopsJnr went on the same slides Cyclops used to use when he was a boy.  We explored the Winter Gardens, and enjoyed the cactus, goldfish and turtles as well as the flowers and general jungliness (and being in the warm).

Later we swung by the house where Cyclops grew up, before using the brand new Aberdeen Bypass to head up to our hotel for a swim.  CyclopsJnr is so close to swimming unaided, but still prefers to swim underwater close to something to grab!

Dinner at Cafe Andaluz finished the day for a content but very tired boy!
