Finally

This castle.is only a couple of miles away but it's taken me 2 years + to get there ... and even then it was more so Poppydog could have a quick wander before I headed elsewhere. Acton Burnell Castle held the first parliament here in 1283 (probably in an adjacent barn) and it must have been magnificent in its heyday.

I've finally booked a dental appt and otherwise today has been getting sorted for a week away followed by Dad's visit close behind. Plus some machine quilting this evening - very much more practice required!
