Flush of Fieldfares

We had a sudden insurgence of Fieldfares with a few Redwing in the mix too. Wonderful looking the usher when viewed through the binoculars - I'm just sorry that I can't in any way do them justice here. Just a lot of blobs ...

The knee got a working on again today and then the rest of the day has been car washing, cleaning, ironing ... all the stuff I feel compelled to do before we go away. Strangely, I can live quite happily in dust and dog hair in everyday life but not come back to it after a week.

We saw Mary Poppins this evening. A sweet film, very reminiscent of the original, but I suppose because of my personal fond memories the old version will always supersede the new in my mind.
