Break for freedom

There’s always one.

On my way back from a disappointing Sales trip in the small dress shops at Mercia Marina, I called into Betty’sFarm.

That farm shop is a real mixture of local, and their own, excellent products and silly overpriced novelties. They have an excellent butchery section (try the Derbyshire sausages) and they insist on recycling egg boxes. They sell veggie bags for £1 and if you are in the market for lots of eggs, they’ll sell you a whole tray of “unloved” (unwashed, odd shapes and sizes and cracked ones.)

You can tell it’s free range - the hens surround the place, investigating and clucking happily.

But you can’t blame the odd one for making a break for freedom...

Have a good weekend.
