Above And Beyond...

Jonkershoek Nature Reserve

Mrs BB wanted to do a walk in Jonkershoek Nature Reserve on the outskirts of Stellenbosch, South Africa where we are staying. It was touching 30C and the South African sun is fierce and burns you easily.

We walked to the waterfalls and back totalling about five miles. Not my idea of bliss especially as the waterfalls were nothing like the grand ones we have back in rainy Wales (UK) you can walk behind!

Leaving the six mile drive circuit that you buy a permit (car with two adults is 100 rand (£5.50) the puffy white cloud came dramatically rolling in over the mountain. They know how to do clouds and mountains here!

A large iced lime thickshake in Stellenbosch didn't touch the sides afterwards!

The extra shows Mrs BB cooling off in the waterfall pool.
