View from the Beach

Another day in the city I grew up in, but have hardly spent any time in for the last 28 years.

I'd forgotten that the noise of helicopters here is as normal as the sound of aeroplanes in Edinburgh.  I'd forgotten the glinting of granite in the sun too.

There seem to be a lot of new road layouts (perhaps unsurprisingly), a much improved Maritime Museum (which I loved exploring with CyclopsJnr), and even a new museum at the Tollbooth.

The view from the beach has also changed.  There's a new wind farm, and there seem to be far more ships in view (either anchored or holding position) than I remember...
