Sand Sculpture

Yesterday this area of our beach was the set for a television show, today all that remains is this sand sculpture of a mermaid and two dolphins. It is testament to the skill of the sculptor that it remains a full day later, and mostly intact. The detail is amazing. so lifelike you would have expected her to swim away with the dolphins at her side. Beach life goes on, so the chairs are set out for another day of sun worshipers, who will probably be in the background of countless shots of this scene before it is reclaimed by the waves.
