A view from St Swithin

Scolty Hill

I am still a little under the weather so decided not to do the Parkrun today - instead we settled on a walk up a wee hill at Banchory ( Scolty Hill ) which has some nice forest to wander about in . The car park was packed but we didn't see many folk on our 60 min walk . It was pretty cold with a dull overcast light making walking in the forest pretty gloomy - with only the odd patch of moss to give the forest floor some colour .

We stopped off at Milton of Crathes ( a favourite spot for Holburngirl ) for a bowl of soup on the way home . The food is always good there and the service excellent . I'd particularly recommend their  excellent Cullen Skink ( a fish soup ) if you are in the area .
