The Uses of Cardboard Boxes

The visitors went this morning. Things are back to normal for Douggie and Percy. Their crumbling Amazon boxes went back on the table, closely followed by D and P, and a marathon grooming session followed.

The joy will be short-lived - they are off to the cattery tomorrow.  It's just as well they don't know.

This morning the girls noticed a pile of cardboard boxes on the compost heap. I explained that decomposing cardboard is mecca to worms and worms are vital to compost.  They wanted to see (extra), to touch and to take home. I had visions of worms wriggling all over the van on the way down the M6 -but I've promised to take a boxful down with me on our next visit. A nice early Easter present for them.
