Today's the day …………………. to bow your head

It's lovely to see the first flowers appearing in the garden and these hellebores are particularly striking.

It's a wonder that anything so delicate and exotic-looking would choose to open up when we're still in the middle of winter with the likelihood of inclement weather yet to come. 

Maybe that's why they hedge their bets and keep their heads firmly bowed towards the soil …………………….
