A Chickadee Dance

Dear Diary,

Every winter I try to capture one of my chickadees "dancing", well, that's what I call it.  It's very difficult to do.  It is important that at least one small part is in focus, in this case, the eye and one foot.  The light and background have to be just right too.  This one has some nice wing movement.  You can also see a few scratches on the feeder, where Gaylord has tried to break in but so far he has been unable to do it and has pretty much given up.  I am feeling so smug this morning!

It is now snowing but they say it will only be a few inches.  I hope so.  Finger's crossed for no power or internet outages!
