Buildings and Architecture

What a beautiful day (mostly).

Hubby and I headed south over the border this morning...firstly to Belford (where it was raining) to see how the business was going then over to Wooler to see the progress junior is making on the house (extra) he is building. As the stairs are now in I got a proper look upstairs for the first time; the kitchen was being fitted; outside was being rendered and the joiner was fitting the skirtings....so it was all go!

One of my projects this year is to photograph churches and gravestones for the family tree so with this in mind we headed north from Wooler and after stopping for a late lunch we made for Carham....a little village on the banks of the Tweed. Here we were treated to a glorious sunset over the river (extra). My main picture is the now disused church in which my great grandparents were married...her parents and his mother are all buried here and listed on one gravestone. The churchyard was full of snowdrops and yellow anemones!

We stopped in Norham as we headed back to the A1 but we couldn't locate the grave I was looking for so headed home.

So lots of building, buildings and architecture today! Thanks to Freyjad for hosting.
