Flower Friday Snowdrops

Waking around the village today the snowdrops are out all over the place. Delightful harbingers of spring, and equally delightfully they remain bereft of actual snow. Long may that continue.

It's certainly different on the mainland, and Charlie sent my a lovely pic the other day of her view in Munich that I'll pop into an extra.

From the top of the village it is now easy to see the new roofs, bright terracotta orange against the older tiles and slates with years of dust and lichen. Modernity amidst the heritage.

As the village becomes enclosed by newness it will look quite odd, I expect, like a big orange circle with a dark centre.
