Walk in Hythe

After a very late and very filling breakfast we walked by the sea from Hythe to Sandgate - about 5 miles in total.

Sandgate appears to have undergone some regeneration since we were here in the summer.  A large number of antique shops and coffee houses have opened in the High Street, and lots of the old houses that look onto the sea are being rebuilt or refurbished.  Needless to say the property prices have increased accordingly.

My collage is a glimpse of some of the things seen on our walk - the grey sea and skies, a teal coloured house lived in by the writer  HG Wells in 1898,  and the replica bandstand with the hotel beyond that is located in the Hythe Imperial's gardens.
