N is for....

...Nash House, New Place and Nero.  We spent some time watching Andy Murray's possibly last competitive tennis match at the Australian Open where he miraculously took Bautista Agut to five sets from two sets down.  An excellent match and a fitting swan song for Britain's greatest tennis player.

We took a break for this morning's shopping, the match started at 07:45, then another this afternoon when we went into town for a coffee at Cafe Nero.  (I did a quick check and found that over the last seven years of blipping I had mentioned "Nero" in 594 blips, approximately once every four blips!).

Whilst Ann popped into Smiths I wandered down the road to the Shakespeare Birthplace properties, Nash House and New Place. New Place is the site of Shakespeare's Stratford house, later demolished, he lived there with his family from 1597 to 1616; Nash House is the Tudor house where his neighbour resided.  New Place is now laid out to gardens and is a nice place to visit, Stratford residents receive free entry. The picture is of the entrance.
