Contrails in Paris

This morning saw the most spectacular display of contrails that I recall seeing from our fourth-floor apartment (at 7:45, 53 minutes before sunrise). There are always at least a few contrails, but today's show was overwhelming. (Here's another one three years ago.)   In the afternoon we went to an exhibition on Venice at the Grand Palais, which focused on the 18th century, including the city's influence on the arts more widely in Europe. It's not the most fascinating artistic era or locale for us, but it was worth seeing. The extra shows a lavish display of period dresses hanging over the grand staircase between the two floors of the exhibition.
