Stanglehold

Found this big vine growing around a group of trees which seemed to be squeezing the life out of them like a big boa constrictor. In leaf, you see them climbing the trunk reaching for the sunlight, enveloping the tree. I don't know if it suffocates the tree eventually, but it seems that way.

The wide angle lens close up emphasises the foreground and shape of the vine, making it seem more dominant and threatening. Seemed to fit with the mood of the day, a snow storm is on its way.

Even on a gray cold day, I needed to watch the highlights on the leaves and bring them in balance.
