Then it turned to icy rain.

Still not well, but got out of bed at 10, not 2, and have managed to clean the chickens, get a sack of layers pellets from the shop in the wheelbarrow, collected 3 eggs from Paola, yes, I have been too rough to see the girls since Friday! And take ash and scraps to the compost bins. Don't think I should operate the chainsaw, but need logs...

It left me too tired to make lunch, so am going to heat up poffertjes and have them with blueberries and maple syrup.

The tax return looms... Managed 100 entries on the expenses spread sheet yesterday afternoon, let's see if I can beat that!
