For the soul

Today, in a complete contrast to yesterday's rain and murk, the sun shone brightly!  We could even feel a warmth in the air as we walked Merlin on the shore at Emsworth.  This was the view as we stopped and looked south towards the English Channel.  Something to lift the soul on a January day.

Yesterday was grey so after some morning chores, unusually for us we popped out to investigate a few of the local pubs.  We stopped for a drink in one.  It was busy with people having a lunchtime drink with their dogs - some looked very muddy from their morning walk!   We need to this more often - it is good to make us stop and relax and talk with each other....and others.
