Sound Women

Congratulations to the organisers of the first of what, I hope, will be a series of Sound Women events here in Liverpool.

This all-day event began with a breakfast get-together (kids ate for free), followed by a craft session, an afternoon of workshops and discussions (sounding out and sounding off) and a night of performances from the Vocality choir, Rachael Jean Harris, Bring the Fire Project and my old pals Mamatung.

The whole thing took place at Sound on Duke Street, a lovely little venue which also serves a tasty array of food and drink to suit everyone from vegans to carnivores.
