Bullfinch eyeing up sunflower seeds

I sat watching the birds once again whilst trying to work on the dining room table. At first this morning the weather was fine, before the westerly breeze brought dark clouds and drizzly rain. By late afternoon the rain stopped, the sky cleared and the hordes of birds returned for the last feeds of the day.

There were countless blue tits, robins, goldfinches, a pair of blackcaps, several blackbirds, chaffinches, and of course three female and four male bullfinches. I filmed them through the double-glazed doors with the light from the sun setting over the top of the far hillside, so the iso was rather high. I was pleased to catch this flight from a perch above the fence towards the sunflower seeds in the feeder.
