Horizontal bluetit

Today's the day …………………….. to pull-up

Had to laugh at this bluetit today - working out on the peanut feeder.

He'd come up with a cunning plan to get at the peanuts from underneath. So that involved gripping on with the claws and doing a series of pull-ups to jab at the peanuts with the beak.  How he managed to raise his entire bodyweight with those spindly legs and muscles like knots-on-string, I'm not quite sure?

But somehow he did - and got a peanut as reward …………………
