Frills

These tulips are really on the last leg but I sort of like the way they fade away day by day, keeping their beauty intact but different to the kind of beauty they had when first I saw them in the flower shop. A couple of them has some sort of laces around the side of the petals which is a bit new to me, I can't imagine the kind of processing they must have gone through to develop those. 

I think I will get some new ones tomorrow but keep these pensioners as long as they kan drink their water. Then I'll put them to their last rest in the compost.
