Gull Watching

I saw this weather vane several months ago but found a better blip on that occasion.
It is situated close to a convenient place to park for our planned walk on Broad Sands, a large bay at the western edge of North Berwick. Our path took us to the middle of the bay, past an area of trees in which a large flock of fieldfare were gathering, also a male bullfinch looking very dapper.
With one eye on the clock, as the tide tables indicated an extra high spring tide and the tide had already turned, we walked west as far as Longskelly Rocks then turned east, the length of the bay and as far as Cowton Rocks and West Links, returning to the car along a section of the John Muir Way.
