Dawn Tanker

I took about 20 images of the dawn light when I went for my paper this morning - Just as well that I did because it remained dull with periods of light rain all day.

Just before the sun came up behind the Lammermuir hills, the rays illuminated the underside of a sheet of altostratus that produced its first spots of rain within half an hour. The 'red sky in the morning' adage proved true today.

The gas tanker is the 'Clamor Schulte'.

I had a play around with another image of the dawn incorporating reverse polar coordinate distortion of one layer. My wife didn't like it so I posted it here instead. I'm sure someone will like it though.
