Nothing to Crow About

A Carrion Crow (Corvus corone)

A lousy day with cloud, light rain and poor visibility.

This afternoon. I went to the local park with some bird seed and was immediately surrounded by swans, greylags, mallards tufties and coots with gulls and crows hanging back. One of the almost full-grown cygnets got very brave - pecking at my hand and clothing, even sticking its head in my pocket. It got too much for me when it tried to pull my glasses off so I stood up. only to find that the plastic shopping bag that I had been sitting on hadn't been large enough and my trousers were very damp as a result.
