Sgwarnog: In the Field

Gullery

A couple of the large fields between Moorside and Spring Wood host a large flock of gulls during the day in winter. As I walked along the edge of the moor above they made quite a spectacle as they all took flight. By the time I got down there about twenty minutes later, most had departed to wherever they go at night. They're mostly Common or Black-headed, but occasionally something different can be seen.

For the second day running I bumped into some Bullfinches. I know some people are lucky enough to have them as garden visitors but I only see them in the woods, and not very often.

Since my long walk on Monday I've had a relatively sedentary week, but I put on a few miles again today.

Today's miles walked: 6.6. Walking total: 125.2/1000
