Crosscanonby St.John the Evangelist's Church.

This blip and additional  are of Crosscanonby St. John the Evangelist's Church. It stands on one of the earliest Christian sites in Cumbria. It was built in 1130 AD with a south aisle added in the 13th century and with further alterations in the 14th century. In the ground of the church is an Anglo-Danish Hogback tombstone. Inside the church is an arch that was originally one of the entrances to the Roman fort in Maryport.
