Patch of promise

(the promise of spring!)

Couldn't resist photographing this patch of snowdrops shining in today's sunshine. It's a lovely still day after a weekend of wild gales and heavy rain. The wind did serve to dry the lanes, though, so there were few puddles to avoid on our walk today.

(I tried converting this to black-and-white for the mono Monday challenge, but the beauty of the tiny specs of green against the white petals would have been diminished.)
