special memento

for  'tinytuesday' . I was living in Calgary when they held the Winter Olympics there  in 1988 and was very lucky to get tickets for the opening ceremony in their ticket lottery. It was a fabulous ceremony even though a 'tepee' in the display collapsed and they could not launch their dinosaur hot air balloons because of the wind. No one seemed to mind and the audience ended up dancing in the aisles to the likes of Gordon Lightfoot and K.D Lang. 'Pin fever' hit the town and they were sold and exchanged on every street corner. This one from the opening ceremony was much in demand as originally only given out to those that attended.I've kept this along with some other pins as a reminder of that time.
