Irish threats

Last night (see yesterday's Blip) daughter Kate in Ireland had sent me a photo of the first snowflakes. This was followed at daybreak this morning by more photos of snow as high as you are ever likely to see in those parts.

Mid-morning, the next photo arrived - see Extra Photo - a hate letter left by the children to their mother before they were handcuffed and forced into the car to go to school. They will probably attack me physically next time we meet for recording the note for eternity but possibly in 60 years or so, they may just have a laugh when they see it again.

Luckily by late afternoon, the after-school photos started coming in. What pleased me most was that brother and sister at ages 10 & 8 are, like any other pair of siblings of this age, at each other's throats much of the time but the hate of their mother had clearly united them to put up a combined opposition to such cruelty to children.

Mother reports she survived unharmed.
