Valentia day 3: Caha Pass

Just back from an amazing couple of days in Kerry with our pals Robert and Finola. We stayed on Valentia Island and experienced almost every kind of weather known to man - rain, sleet, snow, gales, and blazing sunshine. Snow on all the mountains and the most incredible colours and breathtaking scenery. We have squelched through bog, climbed up mountains, stumbled through woodlands, breathed in the sea and seen a huge variety of stuff from stained glass to rock art, holy wells to  Ogham stones. Who knew there was so much to enjoy! Our hotel was almost empty but warm and comfy,  with a blazing fire and delicious food. This morning there was no power but they managed to make tea and present a wonderful cold buffet. Just about everything was occurring on the drive home - this is the Caha Pass which is on the boundary of Cork and Kerry - incredible views and it was snowing and blazing sunshine.  What a magnificent country this is! Two backblips (and quite a few extras!):
