The Old Forge (Friday 1st February 2019)

It started snowing here on Thursday night and didn't let up until the following evening. By the morning the ground was carpeted with snow. I took this blip from the ground floor bathroom window at 1007 hr by which time I'd realised that I couldn't get a car down down the driveway to the road without skidding onto the A4.
The snow had brought the birds to the feeders and all day there were goldfinches, chaffinches, greenfinches, coal tits, blackbirds, pigeons, robins and even a jackdaw that had taken over the bird table in which some fat balls had sat undiscovered for a couple of weeks. A goldfinch and a robin are in Extras.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Spirit - Ice (1969)
I used to have this on the B-side of Dark Eyed Woman but sadly it is not currently in my collection. It can be found on Spirit's third album Clear (or is it Clear Spirit? The cover art is ambiguous). It is an instrumental written by the band's keyboards player John Locke.
