Cat in a crate

I keep my outdoor clothes in an old wooden vegetable crate under a table in the boot room.
The clothes are covered with a big hand knitted woollen blanket.

For the the past couple of days Smudge, our little black and white cat, has chosen this crate as her sleeping spot.

She is a funny little girl and she is the only hunter out of our three cats. The other day she tried to come through the cat flap tunnel while Soft Cell watched on the inside. I opened the back door to let her in and Soft Cell dived through the cat flap to retrieve a tiny dead mouse that Smudge had obviously brought. We managed to remove the mouse from Soft Cell's jaws but sadly it was dead.

On another day ian came home to find Soft Cell playing with a dead baby rat . He doesn't have to go outside, but just wait for Smudge to bring him the goodies.

There is never a dull moment with our furry friends.
