A little brightness on a gloomy day

This cheerful watercolour seemed right for such a dull, grey, gloomy day. It was painted by my late great-uncle (he was married to my grandmother's eldest sister) in Holland in the 1950s or 60s. I grew up with this picture as my grandparents had it on their wall - it's nice to have it on mine now, smartly reframed when we moved here - continuity and change.
