The Silvery Tay

Annual General Meeting of the Probus Club this morning. Good bunch of members with with a wide range of Interests. Joined about 4 years ago after I was invited to give the club a presentation on the construction of the Bell Rock Lighthouse. I usually give one or two presentations each year to the club. Now working on the first one for this year which is about The Hanna House by Frank Lloyd Wright which I visited several decades ago.
Then collect prescriptions and post mail to California. Came out the Post Office and my eye caught today’s Blipfoto. The River Tay is calm. It is silvery, (well sort of) and on the horizon is the Tay Rail Bridge.
The Pier was where the Fifie Ferries crosses back and forth to Dundee, before the Tay Road Bridge was built in 1966. The Pier is now used by the University of Dundee for various water based research purposes.
