Advance on Flower Friday

I wish I could adjust the thumbnail. This almost double amaryllis opened faster than expected so it is the blip today. Easily a meter tall. It was in flower last winter too and after summering outdoors, it rested dryly in the hall closet until mid-January
I feel sure it did not have double flowers last year when it first bloomed. I wonder what it had been doing in the dark closet?
I am glad to see it.
