Advent Challenge: The Blue Hour

I don't think there is a clear and unambiguous definition of "the blue hour" or "the golden hour". Both refer broadly to that period at the beginning and end of the day when the sun is low or below the horizon, but there is light in the sky. The golden hour is probably so named because of the warm, sometimes golden, colours which spread across the sky and the landscape when the sun is low in the sky; it is a favourite time for landscape photographers because the low angle of the lighting highlights the shapes and textures of the land, whilst the warm colouration is very attractive. The blue hour probably best describes that period when the sun is below the horizon, when the lighting can be quite cold.

So, today for anuk's challenge I have taken a picture of a local lane after sunset, with the street lights and car lights prominent, but still a lot of detail in the cloudy sky.
