Tea Room in Gold

Today we went to the Marmottan Monet Museum, taking the Metro to the west across Paris, to the La Muette stop* (in the extra). Afterwards we stopped at the Salon de The  in the main blip for coffee and a superb tarte tatin (an upside-down apple tart).  The exhibition at the museum was excellent: "Private Collections--A Voyage from the Impressionists to the Fauves."  The museum's web site is mixed, with only a brief French summary of the exhibition.  However, it does have images of its permanent collection under the collections tab, e.g. for "Monet," "Impressionists," and "Berthe Morisot," who is a favorite of ours.

 * It rained very lightly for much of the day; the contraption in front of the newsstand in the extra keeps out the rain.  I've marked the museum on the map; La Muette is nearby.
