Was It Really So Long Ago

33/365: Scotty

Scotty lived at the house in Beckenham and belonged to my Mum, a fact only uncovered today during a visit to her. He probably travelled around the country as much as Mum and her family, keeping on location with Grandad's career (details captured in a blip from a few years previously).

From time to time, Grandad produced these watercolours for Mum, a predominantly truthful representation of the garden in Beckenham complete with chickens to provide valued eggs that were in short supply during the war years and Victor the cat (named after Vittorio Emanuele Ferdinando Maria Gennaro di Savoia, king of Italy) looking on, with Scotty providing the break with reality.
