Young pine cones

These young cones caught my eye as they glowed in the sunshine against the blue sky. I think they belong to a Norway Spruce. Although the wind was bitter, we found shelter for our walk in Twyford Wood, Lincolnshire. The Bug Pugglesworth branch of the family arrived at Bug's auntie's so we're enjoying a lovely family weekend together. (See Extra where Bug-Momma carries the treats!)

Thank you for putting my 3000th blip in the top ten of the populars - was delighted to have so many visitors to my journal. I hope I've made reciprocal visits to thank each of you personally. You're all very kind. Hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend.
