Sgwarnog: In the Field

Pond

After a week in the city it was good to get a couple of hours out on the moor.

Storm Erik laid on the wind to blow away the cobwebs but after a night and morning of rain the sun was out burnishing the grasses and reeds. A shard of rainbow brightened and dimmed on the skyline, somewhere in the vicinity of Weston Moor and the Wharfedale relay mast, north of Otley.

And I'm back at the pool, albeit a few paces back to make the most of the winter colours in the turf. I guess this should be my #OnePond now (an idea with clearly @lathyrus beat me to), feel free to find a pond of your own.

Later, I was down at Valley Parade where Bradford City reverted to ineffective play, Fleetwood grabbed an early goal and successfully time-wasted their way through the rest of the match. So still no signs of City escaping the relegation zone.

And exactly five years ago today, out for a walk on the moor, there was a bigger rainbow.
