little shrine at the foot of a tree

A donkey's work is never done here for lorries can't get into the old city and all rubble from old houses has t be removed by these little work engines.  They are well looked after though as they are someone's livelihood. The next is not typical Rajasthani art below but the processional elephants above is.  The lady washing her sari had the most shiny silver anklets on that weigh about 1/2 killo each |(her dowry) .  The next is a lady harvesting her fenukreek crop with a sickle.  We ate some last night that we had loboriously picked off all the top leaves and cooked them inside chapattis.   The butterfly  had me hopping up and down a fence trying to capture much to the amusement of some children.  The last is of a musician down on the ghats - a touristy picture for you!  I spent some of the day with old friends  poring over their new collection of jewellery for sale and in another place over their latest collection of paintings.  Glad I didn't take any money with me!
