Contemporary Art Museum

It is an old silo, located in front of the Paraná River, which was ceded by the Municipality of Rosario in 2003 and designed by Ermete de Lorenzi, one of the most important Rosario architects of the 20th century.

The museum is the result of having conformed the collection of the most important contemporary Argentine art in the country. Its magnitude required an own space that was adapted to a different conception of a museum. This headquarters opens the possibility of crossing the local with the national and international from relevant readings, to link the various aesthetics of the present.

It was inaugurated on November 16, 2004, in view of the importance of the incorporations of contemporary art made by your predecessor, the Municipal Museum of Fine Arts Juan B. Castagnino
