What a Difference a Day Makes

After the fabulous sunny day with clear blue skies we had yesterday, today was very overcast with showers. G and I went to an excellent Study Day with The Arts Society at Cley village hall. The subject was Charles Rennie Mackintosh and we heard three excellent chapters on his life and work and we also had an excellent lunch (lasagne - my favourite).  The biggest revelation for me was that a lot of the interior design work I thought of as by CRM, was in fact done by his wife Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh.

After the talk we took the opportunity to walk to Cley windmill and take some photos. Not the best day for taking photos, but at least the clouds gave us some structure to bring out in post processing. We also watched some guys cutting the reeds and an artist painting a picture of the windmill from the other side of the stream. The windmill is now a restaurant and also provides bed and breakfast.
