Back at LPH

This was the first day of a short fully escorted workshop and as the weather did not look too encouraging we headed for Manesty Woods at the south end of Derwentwater. In fact the morning was quite dry and we even had some patches of sunlight though the afternoon was quite drizzly and we headed back early-ish. At my time of life wandering round all day with a full pack of SLR equipment is becoming a bit like hard work but I am loathe to downgrade to smaller format cameras just because of the cost and time it has taken me to get so fully equipped. As usual it does not take too much time go get into full photography mode so I got some half decent pictures though this is certainly the pick of the day. It was taken with a Little Stopper and it was just a delight to be able to view the image through the filter and not have to work out exposure times. The other major plus was that I did not have to work out a custom white balance as the new  Lee filter is just about spot on.
