Wound up in Wexford

An elephant

Back blipped on 13th

Some excitement en route to Heathrow.  We were happily ensconced in the train to London, which pulled in to Colchester Station, where there was an announcement "the train is terminating here.  If you want to go back to Norwich, there's a train leaving shortly.  We don't know when the line to London will be clear."  Sadly, the reason for the disruption was a fatality on the line.

Clearly, we absolutely did not want to return to Norwich.  We admired the elephant on the station concourse, and pondered our options.

We ended up ordering a taxi to take us from Colchester to Heathrow, arriving in plenty of time for our plane.

We're now settled with U, W's sister, in Cape Town.  It's much warmer here.  Later in the holiday we may well see real live elephant.
