Aurora Borealis

by Brandon Fiechter

Last night we went aurora hunting again. We found them, but as they were getting brighter, the clouds started to cover the sky - this I took just a minute before the clouds started to seriously affect the view. Such a nice experience anyhow. The half moon and the nearby street lights illuminated the fell side nicely at the time. The fells in the background are the Kesänki and Lainio fells.

I also liked a lot the shot of the Ylläs fell top in the opposite direction (see the extra). You can clearly see Sirius in the sky and the piste maintenance machine in operation during the night.
