Oh deer! What you are doing there?

I had a photowalk this morning because of great looking weather and light. At first the sun was shinging, when I arrived to lake there was very magical misty and blue light (extra image) I few minutes later light changed to more white but the mist stayed. Then I saw some strange movement on the lake ice and at first I thought it was a fox walking, but when I took another look by my 200 mm lense, I found it to be a young deer. I hope that I would have a longer zoom within, but never know what comes ahead.

I followed it about one hour and had time to move to other location couple of times. Later I noticed another deer walking on ice and then I realized that it was a mother looking for her child. I think they were lost each other due of very thick mist on the lake. On other extra image they found each other and continued their trip together.

I suppose they were looking for new place to get some food as this amount of snow we have now here, makes life of vegetarian wild animals very hard, because of 50-70 cm snow blanket on the woods and fields. So this story got a kind of happy end, but I still feel bit sorry for them and their hard life on winter time.

If you open a map, you can see the spot where I met them.
